Childrens and Families Ministry Lead
The Source is our children’s and younger youth ministry at Harvest Church, and we love seeing children and young people growing up as part of the church family. We want every child who comes through our doors to know that they are welcome, valued and loved, and that church is a place where they can belong. Whether your family has been coming to Harvest for years or you are joining us for the very first time, we want your children to feel at home.
On Sunday mornings, The Source provides age-appropriate groups where children can have fun, make friends and discover more about Jesus. Sessions include a mixture of Bible teaching, games, activities, discussion and prayer, all designed to help children engage with faith in a way that makes sense for their age and stage. We want them to see that the Bible is not simply a collection of stories, but something that can help them understand God and make a difference to everyday life.
As children grow, they move through our different Source groups alongside others of a similar age. This gives them the opportunity to build lasting friendships and to be known and encouraged by their leaders. Our teams work hard to make each group welcoming, engaging and enjoyable, while giving children plenty of space to ask questions, explore ideas and discover faith for themselves.

We also want children and young people to recognise that they are not simply attending a children’s programme, but are an important part of the whole church. Throughout the year there are opportunities for different generations to worship, learn and spend time together, helping our children develop a real sense of belonging within Harvest. Our hope is that, as they grow, they increasingly discover their own gifts, learn to pray, understand the Bible and develop a personal relationship with Jesus.
Most of all, we want The Source to be somewhere children look forward to coming each week. A place where they can laugh, learn, make friends, ask big questions and be themselves. We consider it a privilege to walk alongside families and to play a part in helping the next generation discover who Jesus is and what it means to follow him.
