Joining the threads together!
This term we have followed on from the Christmas story learning about Jesus's life as he grew up and the stories he told to teach people about God. We whittled characters out of sticks as we learnt about the trade Joseph passed down to Jesus.
We have tackled obstacle courses whilst discussing the obstacles (temptations) Jesus had to overcome in the desert and we have washed each others feet whilst learning about the woman who washed Jesus’s feet - we substituted the expensive perfume for bath bombs! These stories have woven strong threads throughout the story of Jesus’s life. We have seen many children joining the threads together ready to see His purpose for coming to earth fulfilled at Easter. They are getting to know Jesus and his story pretty well so please do ask them questions at home!

Why:
We believe that taking kids away from the ordinary and expected allows God to move in extraordinary ways, and gives children an opportunity to be envisioned as part of God's big family on a mission together.
